Winterpark Engagement: Andrew & Amber

We are excited to share some highlights from this weekend’s Winter Park engagement session. We had a wonderful vacation and are happy to be home and back to doing what we love. This was our first session as a Daytona Beach photographer since we have been back and it was a lot of fun. We came home feeling revived and creatively charged; so, we were thrilled to be doing a portrait session in the downtown area of Winter Park, FL for the first time. As an Orlando wedding photographer, we were excited to explore this area some more. We obviously enjoyed every minute of it. Andrew and Amber are a blast! We weren’t THAT far into the session before Andrew wanted to climb a tree; At that point we knew we were going to have a fun session! They are definitely naturals in front of the camera. Even while in a tree.

We love working with distinctive couples who let their uniqueness shine. As a Daytona Beach photographer we are passionate about telling stories and we think personal touches make everything more impactful. Which is why we love the Vans Amber wore and the candy shop they took us too. Downtown Winter Park was reminiscent of one of their first dates and we followed them to this eclectic little candy shop that sold sodas in just about every flavor you can imagine. French vanilla was amazing. Downtown Winter Park was a great location for incorporating different facets of their love story into the session. This is the very reason we like to photograph personal sessions that really draw from the couple. We can’t wait to photograph their I do’s and look forward to some incredible wedding portraits!

As it should be, food was the highlight of our conversation for a bit. Don’t get me started on Honey crisp apples, just ask Jon. However, we also talked about how Andrew asked. And it’s adorable obviously. While visiting Seattle they enjoyed a Star Wars costume exhibit and they planned a trip to the Space Needle. Andrew proposed to Amber in the Seattle Space Needle overlooking the city at closing time when it was just the two of them; And, as if it doesn’t get any more romantic than that, Natalie Cole’s “L.O.V.E” began playing in the background. He made sure to pull out the macaroni and cheese ring first. Because, you know… cheese is a girl’s REAL best friend.

The session was awesome and we are excited to share some highlights. Capturing their charm was effortless and we know their wedding day is going to be full of some incredible moments. Their chemistry is palpable and it’s easy to see that they go together like macaroni and cheese.
