One of my favorite things about Clearwater Beach family photography is watching everyone’s personalities come alive. Some kids are a little unsure at first, some go full wild-child the second their feet hit the sand — either way, it’s magic. Every session feels different, and that’s what makes it real.

PHOTOSHOOTS CAN BE FUN

What most people don’t expect is how fun these sessions actually are. A lot of parents show up nervous, hoping their kids will stay calm and cooperate but honestly, it’s in the chaos and the laughter that the best memories happen. We’ll absolutely get the posed shots, but the flow is so natural that most families feel like they’re just enjoying a day at the beach together.

That’s really our whole goal: to let everyone be themselves. Whether your kids are chasing waves, picking up shells, or just running around in circles, we lean into the energy instead of fighting it. No stiff poses, no forced smiles  just genuine connection and relaxed direction when it counts.

MIXED OF POSED & CANDID

Our sessions are all about balance you’ll get the classic, posed family photo, but you’ll also get the in-between moments: the giggles, the sandy toes, the hugs. That’s where the heart is. And with a full gallery usually around 100 to 150 images, there’s no shortage of memories to choose from.

SUNRISE OR SUNSET

We always recommend sunrise or sunset for the best light. The colors are soft, dreamy, and glowing and there’s just something about that time of day that feels extra special. Clearwater Beach gives us gorgeous backdrops, unique rock formations, and an overall energy that just feels good. Everyone’s here to have a good time, and it shows.

WHAT TO WEAR

When it comes to outfits, I always tell families to choose a color palette and build from there. You don’t need to match exactly. In fact, it’s better if you don’t. Think soft blues, greens, pinks, or neutrals mixed in a way that lets each person’s style shine while still looking cohesive.

HOW LONG DO BEACH PHOTOSHOOTS LAST?

Our beach sessions typically last between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the package. You’ll know exactly what to expect beforehand, and once you see the images, you always have the option to upgrade your gallery and get more.
