Family Portraits on the beach
One of Jon’s favorite teachers from high school contacted us for a portrait session for her father’s 70th birthday. Kendra and Dan Blazi have dedicated countless hours of community service to keep the arts alive. Volunteering hours at the local theatre, They have kept teens active, raising money and donating thousands of pounds of food for our local families. Dan a retired officer and Kendra a Volusia county school teacher. Kendra’s father wanted a portrait of everyone together to celebrate his big day. In high school he would always volunteer to help out with field trips and behind the scenes, spending his days of retirement volunteering for the local community. We are so thankful for families who give to others. It’s so easy to take things for granted, but behind the scenes there are countless people donating their time and money.
We love photographing near St. Augustine because St. Augustine beaches have unique coquina sand and a different feel than so many other beaches! Florida’s historic coast and St. Augustine area beaches are a must-see!
As a St. Augustine beach photographer, we know that the weather can always throw us curveballs. The weather in Ormond Beach called for rain but we all decided we would wait to call it, and we are glad we did end up photographing! It was a little bit more windy than usual but the colors in the sky really gave their clothing choices a fantastic glow. We have photographed this family previously so it’s always great to catch up and see how much everyone has grown! From start to finish this family was great! They truly love Grandpa and made sure he was the center of attention. With Grandparents day right around the corner, this is the perfect session to share! As an Ormond beach family photographer, we truly love being able to capture portraits for amazing families.
As we finished the session we were able to chat a little more and make plans for the future. It’s great to catch up with friends and now they will have these portraits that will last a lifetime. At the end of the session, families always laugh and chatter as they are leaving. Family is a great thing, and something to be treasured. Happy Birthday Mr. Legendre! We wish you many more birthdays! And thank you for all of your many hours of community service!
